E.J. Kim

Clinical Psychologist, M.Ed., R. Psych.

As a registered psychologist, I have experience supporting adults and adolescents through various (and often closely related) difficulties, including trauma, anxiety-related, and depressive disorders, as well as emotion regulation, work-related stress, assertiveness/boundary setting, and chronic pain management.

To understand my own mind and help others do the same, I have delved into different approaches to life: as an army sergeant, researcher, pilgrim, and Buddhist monastic, among others. If these experiences have taught me anything, it’s that we have a natural tendency towards growth and the journey of self-understanding is ongoing.

My belief in the human capacity for compassion and the uniqueness of lived experience leads me to integrate different therapeutic approaches according to my clients’ needs. If it seems like we’d be a fit, feel free to email me to schedule a brief phone consultation. I’d be happy to talk with you.
